Beryl an Easy Graphical Howto & Others
Beryl is amazing. If you haven’t been hiding under a rock for the past year or so, you’ve heard of Compiz or Beryl. It’s Linux’s answer to Windows Vista’s Aero, Mac OS X’s Quartz Extreme, and Sun’s Looking Glass.
The most amazing part about Beryl, is that it’s open source, and if you want to get your hands dirty, you can customize it to your heart’s desire.
To start this tutorial off, I’m going to post a few videos from youtube, to show you just how amazing your desktop can be.
Now, for all of you out there that hate bloating your system with extra eye candy, something to consider before you write this project off, is the amazing ability that Beryl has to switch virtual desktops. It can be quite functional.
