TinyME Packs a Big Punch
Today we decided to download TinyME Test 6. This is a mini distribution based on the user friendly PCLinuxOS. The current test iso is based on KDE and is only a mere 199 mb iso file. We only tested the LiveCD version of this software but found it simple to get going on our test machine. It run very fast as it is such a light weight Linux distribution.
It booted very fast on our Pentium D 3.0 machine ( actually really fast ) and the KDE user interface looked great.
Below is what DistroWatch.Com had to say about this test release.
Here are a few screenshots of the LiveCD bootup. We basically hit the next button all the way along to get to the KDE Desktop.

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |

I wish this reviewer had
I wish this reviewer had taken the time to look into things a little closer. TinyMe does not have, nor is it meant to have KDE. Other than that it looked like an okay review.
