KDE 4.0 RC2 much better, but still not perfect
You might have read my personal experience with KDE 4.0 RC1 3 weeks back. I installed RC2 in my Kubuntu system and used it intermittently for the past 2 weeks. RC2 was much better than RC1, though it was not perfect. There were few bugs that popped out during that time.
Here was my list of complaints about RC1 and the status about those in RC2.
* The K Menu (KDE menu) was aligned to the left of the task bar when I logged in (normal). When I logged in the 2nd time, it moved little to the right and I couldn't get it back to it's original position. This didn't happen with RC2.
* Nothing happens when you right click the taskbar. No option. This stays the same in RC2. I'm not sure if it's an intended functionality.

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |
