Man charged with ebay motors fraud
A man faces 20 years prison and $250,000 in fines for defrauding perspective car buyers thru online auction house Ebay.com.
David Hung Truong of California has plead guilty to one count wire fraud in his plea bargain agreement and faces sentencing on Jan 5 next year.
His scam was to falsely advertise vehicles and accept payment for them in one of several bank accounts and then of course never delivering said automobile. It's estimated he cheated folks out of about $40,000.
