Muppy Interview
Mini-sys is a Puppy Linux fork, designed for stable, commercial use. It includes many enhancements for the home and professional user. 'Muppy' is the code name for Minisys-Linux.∞
Tell us about your involvement with Mini-Sys?
I was hired in November 2007 by BSB Software, Bielefeld (Germany).
BSBs main product in Minisys, a business application.
First versions were made for Windows.
Due to repeated problems with the Windows Servers, the lead developer Stefan Otto, ported Minisys to Linux.
He replaced some Windows servers with Suse 10.1.
Minisys then worked reliable, however not optimally.
After some tests with Puppy, he asked me if I would like to join the company, to continue the work on Muppy, the German version of Puppy.
I had stopped developing Muppy after release 007 because my old job as project manager and web developer was too time consuming.
So I joined BSB, because I prefer to work on Muppy.
