Open Source Helped by Recession
With the financial world witnessing what many stockbrokers have never seen in their lifetime, things are changing faster now than they normally do in finance. This change will also bring about big changes in the software industry.
We have known for some time that its popular opinion that operating systems like Linux are gaining more computer users thanks to cheaper devices running that OS, this may bring a free version of Windows one day (we hope). The same goes for Open Office compared to Microsoft Office.

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |
