Mandriva appoints Hervé Yahi as Chairman – Chief Executive Officer
Mandriva, the leading European Linux publisher, today announced the appointment of Hervé Yahi as Chairman – CEO.
"Mandriva is a market leader with tremendous assets in its proven product set, loyal customer base and a strong brand,"said Hervé Yahi, Chairman and CEO. "I look forward to working with Mandriva's solid executive and sales management teams to build on our existing strengths to leverage strongly and effectively proven market opportunities."
Hervé Yahi brings over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. He will be responsible for overall operations, business development, marketing and sales.
Hervé Yahi has led the successful turnaround, deployment and merger of a number of Software/Services companies.
Hervé Yahi joins Mandriva from Dassault Systemes , Worldwide PLM leader , where he served as CEO of 3D4ALL (on-line life-like experience applications ) and Virtools , a Middleware vendor for 3D life-like applications he had sold to Dassault in 2005 after turning that company around from a fire-sale status.
He had been recruited to Virtools from his position as CEO of Bizzbuild Partners Plc, listed on the AIM, London.
