SUSE Linux on Supercomputers
SUSE Linux has traditionally performed very well in the high performance realm.
Due to Autobuild and now the OpenSUSE Build Service we have been able to build a common code base across many architectures like: x86, x86_64, Power, Itanium and System Z. This gives people the ability to either scale out with commodity processors are scale up with higher power CPUs.
The list of top performing super computers has been just been released and once again SUSE is making waves. Of the top 10, 9 are running Linux and 4 are running SUSE.
