more power outages
Well, I guess the days of dependable electrical service is passed. So soon after a 4 hour outage on Christmas Eve, we suffered another 1 1/2 hour outage this evening.
For about 3 or 4 years our lights went out every time someone farted too hard in the direction of the substation. Then about a year and a half ago there was a major outage all over town. In the following months our equipment was replaced with newer and our lights have been staying on pretty good.
Until Christmas Eve. Our power went out that day for about 4 hours and I knew it was pretty bad cause I heard the crackly explosion from my seat on my couch. Well, I guess they put the old shitty equipment back in cause the wind blew a little hard tonight and out they went again.
So, I guess expect periodic downtimes every time the wind blows due to power outages over the next 4 or 5 years.
