National Lampoon’s Ubuntu Vacation
Well it was that time of year again, time of giving and getting. And wow, my girlfriend out did herself this year. I unraveled box after box of amazingly thought out gifts. For a non-geek girlfriend, she sure did her homework on getting me some quality gifts.
First up an iRiver E100. She knows I’m all about open formats and standards. She knows I hate having to use 3rd party software to do something as simple as update a usb audio device. My iPod shuffle was getting a little bothersome with only 1GB of space, so she got me this puppy, holding 8GB of OGG and FLAC files.
Second box I unravelled, a nice SATA card for my Mythbuntu Media Center, promptly followed by a 500GB SATA drive. She couldn’t find any large sized IDE drives, so she went with SATA and a SATA card. She came to the table prepared, not leaving me to go to the store to buy anything else.
And then the whopper, a 22in Asus LCD monitor. Boy is this thing shiny. It looks slick sitting up on my desk, I love it.
