Ways YOU can contribute to Ubuntu
I thought I might make a list of ways to contribute to Ubuntu (or Linux in general), and provide my thoughts on them. I’ve tried to list them in rough order of “difficulty”, from easy to hard, where difficulty means how much effort it takes.
Brainstorm
This is a place for people to contribute and discuss ideas to improve Ubuntu. You can propose an idea, vote an idea up or down, and comment on other people’s ideas. It’s very simple, and is probably the easiest way to participate in the Ubuntu Community.
One nice thing to do is to try to provide a little feedback when you vote on an idea - most people really appreciate the effort. Another thing I like to do is to have a set of criteria already in mind, for example:
Downvote:
* “Make my personal preference the system default in the next version of Ubuntu”
* Any new feature that requires a pop-up for user confirmation or explanation
… and so on.

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |

re: How you can Contribute
I contribute to the overall karma of the Universe by making as many snarky comments about that incredibly mediocre distro call Unoobtu as often and in as many places as I can in order to make a small dent towards balancing the drooling fanboy crap that is spouted on the interweb in nearly endless and unwavering quantities.
//hope it helps (but being a cynic I know the endless self delusional energy of a raving Unoobtu fanboy far outweighs the amount of time or energy I will waste on discussing something as trivial as an OS).
