5 Minutes of Knoppix 6.0.1
Installation:
Outrageously good. The livecd boots faster than most hdd installs. System booted, installed to hdd, and rebooted to hard drive install in less time than the Fedora livecd required just to get to a login prompt.
Issues found in first five minutes:
The only effect of selecting "Hibernate" is for the wireless connection to drop and then reconnect. Suspends, but then will not resume.
User is able to perform administrative tasks without a password prompt.

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources.
