WattOS Mini-Review
My first thought here's yet another Ubuntu dirivitive how many more can there be? Then wait a minute what's this? "Use your computers in a lightweight but fully featured way using less energy" Hmm that's defiantly a different approach! let's check it out! I had no trouble downloading and installing it to usb with netbootin.
It was a rather slow install for a live cd. I got to login and had no idea what the password was! there was no options to change session shutdown etc...I hit ctrl-alt-backspace and was taken to a command line as guest (one pass i didn't try)- i entered startx and was taken to desktop. (later I read that a splash screen tells you to enter guest as user and enter (nothing) as password(somehow i missed this perhaps on next version this can be listed on login splash?)) As this is Ubuntu all hardware was found, and I'm connected to network as expected.
