Kicking off Debian Squeeze
Adeodato Simó from the Debian release team has officially launched the development of the next stable release of Debian, code named "Squeeze" and has announced the general principles for its development.
The ultimate goal of the Debian project Release Managers is to help the project deliver a release that developers can be proud of. Additionally, the Release Managers want to maintain a balanced time line to satisfy both the demands of developers and users.
Simó openly admits that the goals are "ambitious" and goes on to say that they "truly believe in it."
