Reason Why Vendors Don't Sell AMD Products
We recently got in touch with some highly placed sources in some of the top server manufacturers and got to know their side of the story. We were told that one of the main reasons behind AMD not making it to their inventory or, at best, not being amongst their more promoted products was because of uncertainty over the processor deliveries. They explained that since a lot of these products were shipping in fairly large volumes and were being targeted at enterprise customers, banking on uncertain supply was not a particularly smart thing to do.
One vendor that primary retails through the Internet said, our products are made on demand and it would be fatal for us to rely on uncertain deliveries as we cannot keep the customers waiting just because we don't have the parts.
