Life is about choice, computing should be too
Throughout our life we are faced with choices. Yet with our computing life there are many people who make the argument that there shouldn't be a choice of operating systems.
They say that it is Linux's greatest weakness that there are so many distributions to choose from. They say that Linux people are stupid for bringing out so many distributions and that everything should be consolidated to a single distribution. They say that having so many distributions to choose from confuses people. If people were that easily confused then we wouldn't have the plethora of items to choose from when we go to the market. How many brands of dish washing liquid are on supermarket shelves? How many different varieties of pet food do we have to peruse?
