Are you ready to Protest?
So you want to Protest against Best Buy for having their employees trained through Microsoft’s ExpertZone.
Their are some things we are going to need.
Some well made signs.
Some poorly constructed signs! (We want to make sure the well made signs really stand out)
Their is one rule, we do not allow protest Brownies.
And we need at least one raving screaming Lunatic.
Seriously their are better options then protesting

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |

How delusional can these fanboys get?
Does anybody with a brain think those suggestions will have ANY effect?
Linux with it's microscopic market share of a few points versus Microsoft with it's 90% plus market share. Linux that sells for ZERO DOLLARS (and brings in ZERO profit) or Windows that makes Best Buy $30+ per sale. Etc. Etc.
Big Business has many many many bean counters who do nothing except figure out what sells, and where the best profit points are - period.
They don't care if it's donuts or dung heaps - if it makes them the most money - that's what they stock, that's what they market, that's what their sales people tell customers they must have, and that's that.
And you know what? That's WHY they are in business.
Fanboys really need to put the manga porn down, leave their mom's basement, and take a peek at how the real world functions.
even if not protesteing per definition why not?
What you write isn't wrong from a business perspective. I'm pretty sure Microsoft has calculated the risks and don't care whether some few initiated laugh at the content until their faces turn blue, because sales among the biggest consumer groups, the ones who know little or nothing, yes even including a whole bunch of CEOs, will rise.
That said, why on the other hand should consumers stay silent? What's the virtue in complacency? Even if the effect today is negligible, every action makes some turmoil and by time it could well gain force. I'm sorry to say it, but your rant at by you proclaimed "fanboys" does reflect the attitude of a grumpy old man upset because his own complacency is revealed by enthusiasm or even naivety by the ones who give a damn.
