What do you think when you hear the word Linux? Do you think some “elite” basement dweller living in there mothers home? Do you think “I never used it before….why should I use it now”…well I a way you are using it right now…the web page is hosted on a Linux box…so in a sense you are using Linux.
I just want to share one of my personal favorites distros (versions) with you. Today I’m gonna briefly talk about a distro call PCLinuxOS Why is this one of my personal favs? Well for me it is one of the most user friendly versions, I think if you take a look at it ,mess around a bit with it you will find that you can easily of the basic normal everyday tasks that you do on a windows based PC. Will you be playing the newest games on it? Well no…but you will be able to do anything else on it surf,email,video conference, burn CDs or DVDs, stream video from sites like Hulu honestly..any other thing you could think of that you can do on a windows PC you can do on PCLinuxOS .

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |
