Book Review: The Debian System
Debian Linux (or GNU/Linux) provides more than 15,000 packages on 18 CDs. But you only need one CD to get started, and that one's bound in with Krafft's extraordinary book.
I liked this book a lot. But it's not for the beginner. It will help a good deal if you know something about Unix or have run a different GNU/Linux distribution.
For example, Krafft is very light on the shell — he assumes you know something already.
