Acer Adventure 7: Road Trip
I've just returned from our holiday travels, during which I toted along the Acer Aspire One with the newly installed Fedora 11. So the netbook has had a bit of use now.
The Good: Fedora worked perfectly. We got to exercise both the wired and wireless networking, and never had a problem. It did take me a while to discover that clicking on the "network offline" icon would bring up a selection of networks to activate. I had previously been going through the KDE Control Center to activate networking. But the little taskbar icon is much easier to use.
One hardware issue that some people have reported -- the webcam -- is not something I use, and I haven't tested it. I also haven't tested the SD card slot. If USB and the network are working, I'm working.
