Microsoft says Windows will cease distribution
Earlier today, Microsoft Spokesperson Brianna Pinder, confirmed that Microsoft will be ceasing development of the Windows Operating System due to the nature of innovation in the computer industry. It is uncertain whether IE, Zune, Windows Phone will also follow down the same path as the Windows Team, but with reports coming in from various sources, there’s no doubt that this will happen in the months to come.
In a statement, Pinder noted:
“There just wasn’t enough UMPH for the Windows team to continue. With all the talks of Apple’s “Get a Mac” Ad Campaign, there have been a lot of questions whether we should continue going, or just drop the gun and do something different.”
When we asked what could have been the root of this uproar, she responded with:
“Apple does have a competitive advantage, not only do they provide the software, but the hardware as well; which is something we do not to, but let our partners do,”
