Book Review - Point & Click OpenOffice.org!
You might recognize Robin Miller by his nick "roblimo" on Slashdot. He's been the editor in chief of various OSDN properties including Slashdot, NewsForge, and the other "Forge" sites under the OSDN umbrella for a few years. Also the author of Point-and-Click Linux!, Roblimo has followed it with another book for new users with Point & Click OpenOffice.org!
First Things First takes a look at configuring OpenOffice.org to work with the way you work. Installation and different versions for MacOSX, Linux, and Windows appropriately kick off the walk through. Icon meanings are explained and the OOo file formats are covered.
Each of the second through fifth chapters cover an individual core program of OpenOffice.org

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources.
