ADSL Home Network With SuSE 10
At home, I have an ADSL connection with a single public IP (fixed IP, even if it's served through DHCP).
What I wanted was to be able to connect my old laptop to the Internet using the existing SuSE box.
If the ADSL modem were able to support more than one Ethernet port, this would be simpler. Using a hub between the ADSL modem and the two computers is useless, as what I pay to the ISP is masquerading a single internal IP.
Since I want to make it as simple as possible, I won't use a supplementary hub. My shopping list is very minimalistic.
