Making the message stick
What is a freedom league without a bit of guerrilla branding? In an effort to increase the exposure of its cause, the Geek Freedom League (GFL) is calling on geeks to use GFL-branded stickers in ingenious ways.
The GFL is a campaign for "PC liberation" from proprietary software, and members are rewarded with prizes for installing open source software on other people's computers. But Andrews says the idea behind this initiative is to get geeks away from their computers for just a few minutes, get creative and have some fun.
The closing date for the competition is July 31.
