OSI Expands to China with KAIYUANSHE Joining as Latest Affiliate Member
The Open Source Initiative® (OSI) is pleased to announce the Affiliate Membership of KAIYUANSHE (http://www.kaiyuanshe.cn/), a Chinese alliance of open source software companies, communities and individuals. Like OSI, KAIYUANSHE works to promote open source software adoption and development as well as connect organizations participating in, and contributing to, open source software around the world. KAIYUANSHE which roughly translates as “open source alliance,” is comprised of 50 organizations, such as Microsoft, CSDN, GitCafe, GNOME.Asia, Ubuntu Kylin, Canonical, OSChina, Firefox, and others.

Samsung, Red Hat to Work on Linux Drivers for Future TechThe metaverse is expected to uproot system design as we know it, and Samsung is one of many hardware vendors re-imagining data center infrastructure in preparation for a parallel 3D world. Samsung is working on new memory technologies that provide faster bandwidth inside hardware for data to travel between CPUs, storage and other computing resources. The company also announced it was partnering with Red Hat to ensure these technologies have Linux compatibility. |
