LeEco Pro 3 formally announced, powered by Snapdragon 821
Only getting into the smartphone game last year, LeEco has seemingly come up out of the woodwork and is establishing itself as a player on the rise. The company isn’t content with holding still, either. LeEco has now announced the Le Pro 3, its new Qualcomm Snapdragon 821-powered flagship darling. While the latest Snapdragon is certainly one of the biggest claims to fame for the handset, the rest of the specs are pretty solid too.
The Le Pro 3 will come in either 4GB RAM/32GB storage or 6GB RAM/64GB storage configurations. Other specs include a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 16MP main cam with f/2.0 aperture as well as PDAF and LED flash, an 8MP wide-angle front cam, and a generous 4070 mAh battery that supports USB-C and Quick Charge 3.0. Following in Apple’s direction, the LeEco Le Pro 3 will ditch the headphone jack in favor USB-C audio that features LeEco’s Continual Digital Lossless Audio tech. The phone will include Type-C earbuds in the box.

Google Give Android Nougat Statue to France’s Nougat City
Earlier this year, Google officially launched Android 7.0, and as always, this version of Google’s mobile operating system had a tasty treat for a name. Last year was Marshmallow, and following on from that alphabetically, Google gave us Android Nougat. Many thought that this version of Android was going to be Android Nutella, and some employees working on Android 7.0 even alluded to as much, but ultimately it was Nougat that stuck from the many proposals sent Google’s way. Considering that different sweets and confectionery are known more or less in different parts of the world, it should come as no surprise that there is in fact a City known for Nougat.
