Nautilus 3.22.2 File Manager Makes Desktop Icons Work on Wayland Sessions
The last planned point release of the GNOME 3.22 desktop environment arrived a month ago, and it looks like the Nautilus file manager only now received it second maintenance update for the 3.22 series.
That's right, Nautilus 3.22.2 is now available, released on the 10th of December, 2016, and it's a bugfix release that improves keyboard navigation for opening of menus, the popover animation, the recently introduced batch rename functionality, which failed to rename file in some cases, and supports desktop icons on Wayland sessions.

Pitivi 1.0 Video Editor Development Advances with Timeline Improvements, More
The development team behind the Pitivi open-source video editor have announced the availability of Pitivi 0.98, another bugfix and stability release towards the major Pitivi 1.0 version.
Besides the usual bug fixes, Pitivi 0.98 brings various improvements that might interest some of you who are waiting for Pitivi 1.0 to hit the streets, which should happen in early 2017 now that the team hired Romanian developer Alexandru Băluț to fix remaining blockers, such as customizable keyboard shortcuts and improved timeline.
