Mandriva's New CEO’s first 30 days

We recently had to let some valuable members of staff go, notably amongst community members and distribution. It’s always a difficult decision to make and I would like to thank them for the contribution they made to Mandriva during all these years.
Once we are through this arduous passage, we plan to re-think and reinforce the Community template.
Mandriva distributions-based solutions are coming through the pipeline ready to target our Community, a world-wide market and the ensemble of Mandriva’s partners. Mandriva is brimming with new ideas aimed at the whole community.
Mandriva product lines and partners ? Template ? Success ?
Mandriva is developing a product line to complete with Ubuntu, Fedora and Suse? It has partners to develop pre-installed operating system on netbooks. It owns remote Connectiva in Brazil, which increases burn rate. Mandriva has two language markets and can do more.
Mandriva could do enterprise like RedHat and Suse? But, mandriva can also do specialization(RedHat with Jboss and Novel with killer apps such as security and virtualization software). This is the successful template in Linux.
So, the turn around is first to streamline the organization. Collaboration with Connectiva to stop the bleeding. then to extend Linux with middleware partners?
