V8 is C++ faster than Java ? Java is older i386 platform ?
Compilers are constantly improved. Even Cobol is i686 or better. Java is still i386 compatible.
But this may also explain that Google Chrome(V8) did not accommodate many i686 architecture(single or dual core OS), for V8 to crash on Vista or XP(auto-updated versions).
So, it became open source, to let others find out the lack of compatibility and offer cheap labor to fix what is lacking.
Platform compatibility is a huge problem in many operating systems. Or deterministic realtime operating system is not really(universally) better than telephony realtime packet switching(better only for different apps).
So, we will take five more years to learn how to make all platforms compatible thru compilers with C++ i484 emulation modules(Debian apps) that will add instructions in i386(etc. ie. Mips) operating system, all the way to i986.
